WHY MEF1RST?

2 years ago I learned the hard way the cost of not putting yourself first... I wanted to be the best wife, the best boss, the best team member... and I ended up being nothing. I felt closer to a plant than a human being, I couldn't think and I couldn't feel. 

By focusing on others and completely abandoning myself, my brain collapsed. I wasn't listening to myself, I wasn't paying attention to what I needed, I wasn't giving myself the things that replenish me. I thought I was helping others. I thought the opposite was selfish. How wrong I was.

We can lead others as much as we can lead ourselves.  

We can take care of others as much as we can take care of ourselves.  

We can love others as much as we can love ourselves.  

So again, is it selfish to put ourselves first?

It is not.

When I was in my darkest days I said to myself "all this suffering must be for a higher purpose you can't see now, hold on...here is something bigger than yourself you need to learn and share" and that is why and how MEF1RST was born.
